Today I attended a talk hosted by The University of Auckland. The hosts introduced Git and how to incorporate it into software projects. I already had an understanding of how to use git and you can find my GitHub at github.com/professor-red. I was a little disappointed that they only covered the absolute basics, however, most of the people there seemed to be completely new to Git and had surprisingly never heard of it before. Git is one of those things you just know if you are in the coding community at all but especially in the open source community. For anyone who writes programs at any level and definitely for projects I would recommend Git. I might even post a video on my youtube channel on how to use in the future.
